Delwara is a small town which is located just 26 km away from Udaipur, Mewar. It is relatively close to Eklingji Temple also, so you visit both places as they are not distant. Delwara “The town of god’s and temple “ also known as “Devkul Patan Nagri” ruled by Raja Sagar, the brave and masculine king of that time. In the 15th century, there were 1500 temples in Delwara out of which 400 were Jain temples. It was considered as the center of learning and culture. Raja Sagar and his descendants sacrificed their lives in the battle against Muslim invaders.
The attractions of Delwara are the Palera Talab lake, a life-size statue of King Mansingh III, Trimukhi Bawari stepwell, the 900-year old Parshwanath Ji Bhagavan Temple , Lodha Mohalla haveli, Indra Kund and the massive Devigarh Fort which become a luxury udaipur hotels nowadays.
