The first largest artificial lake in India and second largest in the world. It is alternatively known as Jaisamand Lake located in Salumber district of Rajasthan. It was built by Maharana Jay Singh in 1685.He gave special thanks to Namla thikana for their exclusive land contribution .The statistics of the lake is really amazing – 9 miles means (14 km) in breadth, 102 feet i.e (31 m) deep at its deepest end, a circumference of 30 miles (48 km), with marble staircases leading into the water. The Dhebar lake is surrounded by the Summer Palaces of the Queens of Udaipur on all sides.
